Café Manager

The cafe manager is responsible for leading their staff members in the day-to-day operations of the cafe, in accordance with the highest standards of excellence in service and food & beverage preparation. They will oversee and be held accountable for all operations of the cafe, including completing payroll, meeting strict budgetary guidelines and controlling costs associated with COGS and labor, handling staff scheduling and management, ordering and inventory, maintaining store appearance, and ensuring compliance with company policy and the NYC DOH code. The cafe manager is expected to model and exemplify all aspects of store & company policy and conduct. We are looking for a passionate, responsible, self-motivated individual who possesses excellent leadership skills. Lead Barista

The Lead Barista is a store leader reporting to and supporting the Cafe Manager in achieving all company set goals and objectives.

  • Role model and leader responsible for exemplifying Orens Coffees’ vision, mission, and values to their store teams.

  • Responsible for building and maintaining an exceptional level of customer service, providing ongoing training and development activities to the barista staff, demonstrating sound personnel and financial management practices, and maintaining a positive and productive working, shopping, and coffee-centric environment.

  • Assume a number of managerial responsibilities in the absence of the Cafe Manager and to act as cafe leader at all times.

  • Developing baristas by providing on-going coaching and in-store on-bar training in order to ensure high performance, continued store growth, and effective succession planning.

  • Actively delegating support tasks to the store team and communicating progress to the Store Manager, as well as working with the store leadership team to complete store development projects that further Orens Coffees’ mission and guiding principles.
